When Jesus was seeking disciples, He was not necessarily searching for the most educated or the most qualified in a particular arena. He was looking for people with a desire to be of service in the world and whose hearts were devoted to helping others spiritually.

Like those who were called by Jesus so long ago, I may also be answering the call of service. Responding to the stirring of Spirit within, I may have already been led to give generously in support of my community or my nation, of my family or all humanity. Or it may be a calling I'm answering now.

I am grateful for the opportunity to give time and energy in blessing the world. I am grateful for the assurance that I am making a significant contribution to humanity.
