Generous friends enrich our lives. Even though we may not be personally aware of what we are capable of achieving, friends are.

With spiritual understanding, they acknowledge the presence of God within us and, therefore, the potential for good that is always waiting to be expressed. Taking the time to really listen, they encourage us but let us decide our own paths in life.

What do we do when we do not seem to have such friends? We can be the kind of friends we want to have. Being generous with our appreciation, understanding, time, and love, we attract the people who express these same qualities.

In our daily prayer time with God, we share with our most generous friend--the One who is our constant companion and guide through every day of life.
