In 1992 the band Flipside was formed, made up of Matt Stewart, Tim Stewart, Sam Stewart, & Chris Gatmaitan. Flipside toured all over the West Coast of the United States & across seas to the Caribbean, playing to thousand’s of people. In 1997 Flipside was selected winners of “Bay Area Band Search”, where 150 bands applied and performed. Flipside pushed its music to all venues being accepted as a legitimate funk/rock force. Flipside had the privilege of playing venues with bands such as, P.O.D., Project 86, and the Corbin’s. Indie Records (Crystal Lewis), Los Angeles, put Flipside’s song “Real Deal” on their compilation album, and the album was pushed nation wide by all distributors. Flipside was signed by 98* Degree Records and saw great success with their self titled CD “Flipside”.
